Busy B Stationery- Getting more organised!

As you may or may not know I love stationery. There is nothing quite like that feeling of getting a new notepad and pens to put a smile on my face, well that and cake! Or Gin! So I was extremely excited about getting the opportunity to try out Busy B stationery.

I like to think of myself as quite an organised person but lately since Austin was born I have been struggling to keep up with everything, so I hoped that some new stationery would help! Any excuse though really!

Birthday Card Book

One of the things I am always forgetting recently is Birthday cards. We have so many birthdays to try and remember both coming from big families plus friends, and now everyone’s having children too so there’s even more. Needless to say birthday cards were frequently being sent late or occasionally not at all. For these reasons I chose the Birthday card book. Well that and the fact that it’s a really pretty floral design! , I’m a sucker for anything pretty and it’s a bonus that it’s so useful!

The birthday card book is a hardback book/folder that has a page for each month. On each monthly page there is a monthly calendar with space to write whose birthday is when during that month, and a pocket where you can put the cards for the month. It’s great because it means you bulk buy all your birthday cards in advance, put them in their monthly pockets and then when birthdays come round all you have to do is write out the card and post!

Additional little extra helpful things are a pocket at back for additional cards and a calendar on inside cover for anniversaries too.

I love this birthday card book and have already purchased another one as a gift for my mother-in-law. No more forgotten birthday cards! well as long as I stock up on stamps!

Magnetic notepad and pen

I also have been using the magnetic notepad list and pen from Busy B. This is a shopping list pad that’s magnetic and affixes to my fridge door with magnetic pen flower design. The other area of my life I struggle to be organised with is the food shopping. I generally do attempt to make a list before I do the shopping. But the list is always based on what I think we need and I often don’t actually check the cupboards as I’m in a rush. My husband will also often mention things here and there that we need e.g. “Next time you go shopping can you get more bin liners” but by the time it comes to doing the shopping and I ask him if there’s anything we need he generally says “no nothing I can think of right now!” So inevitably I always forget things we need! Very frustrating and time wasting.

This notepad has really helped me out, I haven’t forgotten anything so far and hubby can just write on list when he thinks of things, so neither of us is relying on our sleep deprived impaired mummy/daddy brains to remember!

The magnetic is strong and the neither the notepad nor the pen have fallen off the fridge which is great. . So useful having a pen that’s magnetic too or I think we wouldn’t actually be bothered to go and get a pen to write something down!

Busy B have just brought out their Autumn/winter collection too now so looking forward to seeing what new things they’ve got and working out how much more stationery that I can justify getting to my husband! If your interested you can take a look at Busy B stationery here, Busy B.
