So far this year we have been on a few really fun family days out. These are so much more enjoyable now Hayden is walking and able to get around and interact more with activities. Hayden loves getting out and about and I love going to new places or doing new things. Anyone that knows me knows I like to keep busy with a full diary and plan well ahead of time, hence I decided to write a bucket list for family days out this year that I wanted to get booked in!

So far this year we have been lucky enough to visit;

You can click on the links above to see our review of these places.

So what’s on the bucket list for family days out this year (remainder of year anyway!)?

  • Bristol zoo again! –

We have an annual family pass for the zoo that we brought for haydens 1st birthday. We have been a few times in the past 6 months and hayden is getting more and more interested in looking at the animals each time we go. So I would like to go a few more times this year, partly to get our monies worth!! but mostly as Hayden is really starting to enjoy it and they have Dinomania just opened too.

  • Thomas train –

If you follow me on social media or have read other posts, you probably know that Hayden absoultely loves Thomas the tank engine and actually trains in general! I would love to take him to see the Thomas steam trains he would love it!

  • A day at the seaside –

We took hayden to the seaside a couple of times last year when he was about 6 months old, he loved it but did spend most of his time eating the sand! will be good to take him now hes older and also Austins first trip to the seaside too!

  • Westonbirt Arboretum-

Such a beautiful place to visit and its got some lovely walks and childrens activities. Haven’t been yet since having children but I love a good walk and Mike likes all the different trees!

  • Longleat festival of light-

Family and friends have gone to this on during the winter time and its looks amazing! My favourite time of year is winter and christmas time and I’m a sucker for twinkly lights so think this would be right my street! oh yeah and I reckon the boys would like it too!

  • Bristol aquarium-

Mike and I have never been here and think it would be great place to take the boys, especially on a rainy day and considering its nearby.

  • Go strawberry picking-

Hayden is really into strawberries at the moment, and who can blame him they are lush!! I am hoping that we get a chance to take him strawberry picking somewhere this summer so we can all gorge on them!

  • Go pumpkin picking-

Last year we took hayden pumpkin picking whilst we were away for the weekend. Well hayden enjoyed crawling in amonst the pumpkins but not so much the picking. Think its a lovely idea for children and keen to go again this year too.

  • Visit to Santa-

The year wouldn’t be complete without a visit to see santa or Father Christmas if you prefer. Again we did take Hayden last year with his cousin Oscar but they were both a bit young to really get anything out of it and it was probably more for our benefit than theirs. This year though hopefully might be more meaningful for Hayden and it will be Austins first santa visit too!

So quite a few things to fit in really between now and christmas!! Needless to say I am yet to inform my husband of this bucket list and my days out plans for the year!!

what are places you’d like to visit this year? I’d love to hear about them.

Love, love, LOVE your beach baby photo. What a beautiful capture. I completely forgot to get our bucket list up. You have some fab ideas, and we will be joining you with the longleat festival of lights, fruit picking (fingers crossed) and seaside days. Enjoy! #Dreamteam
